As I am writing this in my uni room, I am listening to the ‘Christmas Hits’ playlist on Spotify with the sun shining outside. What a perfect way to start the day!
I feel like most people have their go to Christmas songs and movies that is a must for the festive season. So here’s an insight into mine.
I’m not going to lie, most of the time I will start listening to Christmas songs a little early… okay, VERY early but that doesn’t mean that it’s less exciting when the 1st of December comes around. This year I was awake later than usual on the 30th of November, so I put my little 2 ft tree up at midnight while listening to ‘It’s beginning to look at lot like Christmas’ from Michael Bublé’s Christmas album, very quietly though so I didn’t wake my flatmates up! I then did spend the majority of the morning on the 1st listening to ‘Christmas is Coming’ on Spotify, incredibly loudly!! Anyway I think it is time for me to tell you some of my favourites.
· All I want for Christmas is You – Mariah Carey
· Driving home for Christmas – Chris Rea
· Santa tell me – Ariana Grande
· Christmas (Deluxe Special Edition) album – Michael Bublé
There’s so many more I want to include but we would be here all day otherwise!
When it comes to Christmas movies I always wait until December, even though it can be hard sometimes. However, there’s nothing better than being in comfy clothes, wrapped up in a blanket with the Christmas lights turned on while watching a Christmas film. The past few days I have been watching a lot of the new Netflix originals and I have been pleasantly surprised by them, so I definitely recommend giving them a watch.
Let’s not forget the classics though, these are my go-tos.
· Polar Express (2004)
· Arthur Christmas (2011)
· Home Alone (1990)
· Elf (2003)
There’s probably a few I’m forgetting but these are the main ones.
I think that some’s it all up, have a lovely week and I will see you on Sunday!
