2020 is officially over and what a year it was but let’s not get into that, we all know what 2020 was like!
New Year’s normally mean resolutions or goals of what achievements you want to make throughout the year. Well, this year I have none. For starters I had no clue what goals to make apart from stereotypical ones and to be honest, I’m not a fan of those. After last year though, I felt like I didn’t want to set specific things to achieve if we are still in and out of lockdown.
Let me clear up something up though. I do have goals, but these are life goals that I work on most days, which is one of the reason why I couldn’t think of a new year’s one. I don’t see why I should be waiting to start something until the new year, it’s like the saying ‘I’ll start Monday.’ If you have an ambition, passion or goal, start it now!
I am definitely taking 2021 day by day, especially, for those of you who don’t know, the UK is still in the height of the coronavirus pandemic. Everything is changing on a regular basis and I would rather avoid the frustration of ‘failing’ my resolution because no one knows what situation the country will be in in a few months. Which means that announcements can impact resolutions, so a lot of decisions are out of our hands.
Despite the uncertainty ahead of us, I am still intrigued to see what this year holds. I turn 21 in March, finish second year of University soon after and begin my last year, I have multiple weddings to attend and I will be continuing to work on my life goals, so a lot to look forward to.
All I ask is for you to follow the rules, wear a face mask, stay home and be safe. Let’s beat this virus and start to see normality again but it will only go if we all work together.
Thank you for reading, stay safe and have a good week!
See you Friday!
